Hi Peter,

We have passed along your inquiry to Martin Vogt at Arca-Swiss International in France. He will be contacting you shortly with more information about dealers in your part of the world.
In the meantime, I can answer any technical questions you may have about M-Line, RM3di, and RM2d.

Regards,

Rod

Hi Rod,

I am wondering if you can recommend a dealer for RM3 plus M-line2. I live in Singapore, and as far as I can tell, there is no Arca dealer here. I do travel to Switzerland and Germany several times a year, so i guess with the absenceof a dealer, I can demo and buy there.

I intend to use the camera with the Rm3 as front standard for macro, and the RM3 alone for landscape. Would the rm2 be a better choice?

Just getting into large format and the RL3D is of particular interest for the work I want to do. While working in 4x5 one selects lenses based on that format, while medium format requires totally different lenses. Do you need separate lenses for both 4x5 film work and medium format digital backs? It appears from the limited information i've read that you don't? Also, focusing seems arduous as with all large formats, especially with hi-res digital backs that are very unforgiving ie Phase One IQ180, so how is this accomplished with any precision? What is the largest medium format back the RL3D will accept, 6x9 or 6x12? Is there a laser rangefinder accessory available, for precise distance measurement? Can I do extreme close up work with this camera and what lenses does Swiss Arca already have mounted for this type of work? Thank you.

I really want to learn how to do this, but it's kind of frightening--the prospect of working with so much poisonous stuff. It's also just really really hard to find people who can show you. Thanks for the video, I feel really inspired though to keep trying.
